“ I swear I had seen this place in Hudson Yards in NYC but alas my brain played me once again. What I was thinking about is called Little Spain Mercado which is a food concept that basically has 3 restaurants in one at the Hudson Yard mall. But back to Boston... Boqueria opened about a year ago and on MLK day was pretty empty. Not sure if it was due to it being a holiday or a work week for some but yolo. They have multiple locations in the US and 3 in New york. The restaurant is very much like most rplaces in the seaport, a little cold, sleek and dark but I enjoyed it. I would love to check out their lunch specials because they have a happy hour and do sharing options that are priced per person that are an even better bang for your buck. But this time around 5pm means their dinner menu. This is a tapas style obviously so you can share & try meats, veggies, seafood, etc. My favorite thing that we got was the patatas bravas. The flavor just stood out to me and something is so right when potatoes are the perfect texture and have the right taste. I'm not sure if I tried the paella before but I wasn't feeling the rice. But, the seafood that was on top was great, not fishy and each bite was perfect. The sangria was only $14, not bad for Seaport pricing but I'm not sure if the drinks are watered down because I couldn't taste the alcohol and the flavor was very faint.The waiter was really sweet and added a little bit of her personality to our small conversation whether it was giving a good laugh or adding her take on the menu and recs. When it came down to dessert she free of charge added another churros stick to our order to make sure each of us got the same amount which was very nice of her. I would definitely come back with a group if I'm looking for somewhere in the area that is not too busy. “ I came to Boqueria with a friend for brunch last Saturday afternoon. We were immediately impressed with the cheerful seasonal decor which put us in the holiday spirit. Our server Catherine was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. All of the dishes are tapa size, so if you are extra hungry, you might want to order a few items to share. I was satisfied with the Huevos Con Bistec (steak and eggs with potatoes). My friend ordered the Huevos Estrellados (show string fries, truffle potatoes cream and fried egg). Our only complaint was how long it took for my meal to come out. My friend's food came out pretty fast, but mine took an additional 45 minutes, which was awkward because my friend did not want to start eating until we were both served and by the time I got my food, hers was cold. Our waitress said it was because I requested my steak well done and the kitchen was backed up, but it was just a 5 oz steak which I could have cooked myself at home in 15-20 mins. I came close to taking off one star in my review, but I am giving it back here because of the lengths to which the manager Adrian went to fix the situation. He brought me some bread on the house as an apology and when I said I actually don't eat bread, he said you can order some churros for dessert at no charge AND he even brought out a fresh hot meal for my friend even though she had already eaten part of the original meal she ordered. The staff here is fantastic and I truly appreciate the effort they put in to make sure we left feeling happy and satisfied. I will definitely come back to Boqueria and recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in the Seaport area. ”

Perfect date night but I'd recommend a group dinner since it's tapa style and you can try a ton of dishes that way! ”

“ An awesome place for tapas to go with friends. I recommend the chefs tasting menu - it was delicious. It started off with charcuterie, tomato y pan, salad, and an eggplant dip. We also had a sangria. The two types of croquettes were amazing, there was a jamon one and a truffle one with mushrooms both were super creamy and yummy. The patatas were also super crispy and had a great sauce. We also had the shrimp in garlic oil and roasted chicken. The main was a large seafood paella. Everything was super tasty. Finally we ended with churros. Overall, will definitely be back, everything was excellent. The price was very reasonable for amount of food given! ”

“ I celebrated my birthday here and I had a really great experience. Not only did I leave with a free dessert, but because I chose to celebrate my birthday there I also left with two coupons for two free desserts. We also played a traditional Spanish drinking game ran by our server. We would have to drink as much wine as we could from a glass that was shaped almost like a tea kettle. Our server was SO friendly and very knowledgeable about allergies. She was able to list what I could and could not eat off the top of her head from memory. We got the roasted chicken which was some of the most juicy chicken I've had in my life. We also got the shrimp which was a 10/10. The jamon was perfect and the margaritas were amazing! The octopus was my favorite, and they were on top of potatoes and a squeeze of lemon. So good. I can't wait to come back! ”

“ I had an unexpectedly fantastic meal at Boqueria. The general decor and vibe was great - you can actually have a conversation inside! Everything my group ordered, I was really surprised (in a good way). The patatas bravas were incredible, the potatoes were smashed and super crispy. Great balance between potato flavor, tomato sauce, aioli, and crispiness. Another hit was the mussels, the sauce was amazing - thankfully they serve it with bread so you can dip it in afterwards. Just as good was the paella de mariscos, the rice was super flavorful and so was the seafood. Knocking off a single star because the fish in the paella was overcooked and the shrimp was bland but also super oily. ”
